Wow. Nothing but respect from me. Sounds like he is really giving it his all. On the contrary, is that a life to envy? Not for me. I really hope he is happy.
Caught this link on another forum about a meinl endorsed drummer called joe morris following a typical week of his. Mind boggling actually how he does all that work. Talk about stamina, this guy has got it in bucketloads!

He has enough time to write about every minute he's not free.
What's up with that Esteban clown? Have you seen those infomercials? I bet his real name is something like 'Albert Johnson'. What a scam!
Yeah, that Esteban thing is a little pretentious sometimes.
It is simply a slick marketing campaign that appeals to the novice or beginner's romantic notion of the instrument. Like the "Zorro," or traveling minstrel / medicine man of gtr. He should start a band with Yawni, Kenny G, & Charley "Horse" Adams... J/K[?!]
But if it's true about the accident he had - & I seriously hope it's not a marketing sympathy ploy; don't be appalled, it happens all the time - then he could be afforded leeway for that.
I bet he makes more dough than a lot of musos out there...
Sitting up in his este-estate, sipping cocktails, making/getting phone calls, collecting checks, & plucking out some maj / min scales or pseudo-Spanish-flamenco on a "modestly-priced" gtr...

Somewhat paradoxical to myself in here.
Very cool. Yeah, that's the life... hehe!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">What was that again? I have a vague recollection... Did he like get into a car wreck and have to learn to dress like a flamenco dancer again? But if it's true about the accident he had
God... i stay up late every night, and when i am flipping channels, I see him ALL THE TIME! The mix is horrible on the 'live' stuff he does... i can't really even hear what is going on with the other musicians.
He kinda does look like an Albert... but really, i am not talking sh*t, i mean, maybe when i get an info-mercial i can clown his. The closest i came to having my own info-mercial was when i got interviewed on the local news on what i thought about Bill Clinton getting (drum)-head
... So yeah, i have a long way before i am getting paid to sell Taye drums in an Easter Bunny suit at 2am...
... However, i do watch Esteban's drummer play Taye drums at 2am WHILE i am wearing an Easter Bunny suit... but i do that for free...

Oh Puleeeeze. That's a holdiay compared to my typical week. I commute 2 1/2 hours each way to work every day to Manhattan NY. I'm up at 4:30 am each day and on the 5:22 Train to the city.
I study Jazz Piano Tuesday evenings, rehearse with my dance/wedding band on Wednesdays. I play 4 hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. That's 9 hours of solid drumming at an average of 160 bpm. Count in Setup/Breakdown, travel to and from the gig.
On my off nights I practice keyboards and hour then drums an hour. I am 49 years old and I've lost 10 lbs in 2 months.
I just can't wait until the hot summer months. I better start bulking up now!
